January 27th I followed up with DP on the Transaction information. DP replied via text message, "Hello my uncle said it was done I'll tell him to look into it first thing tomorrow morning and send you the transaction number for your email. January 25th I followed up with DP via text message on the status of my refund. DP replied a refund had already been issued. January 19th I followed up with DP via text message for a refund. DP replied via text message that "I'll ask my boss in the morning to check". JanuI followed up via text with DP regarding my refund. On January 8,2023, I requested a refund via text from DP. We spoke via telephone, and I agreed to wait for an additional 24hrs. January 5th DP stated via text message he needed an additional week because the service call required special equipment. ![]() ![]() December 29th I followed up (via text message) on a service date, to which DP stated via text message response, that the service day would be New Year's week 2023. On December 22nd the GIDT's ******************* (DP) contacted me via text message and informed me that due to inclement weather, shipping would be scheduled the week after Christmas (2022). I paid a $1,000 deposit for vehicle transportation services through Get It Done Transportation (GIDT) services on December 21,2022. There was no other justification for them to charge me the extra $100 at the beginning before even having put the order out, and especially after talking with the driver who stated they get no compensation at all from the broker! I belive Get It Done overcharged me by $100 and tried to justify it by saying that the driver was requesting $100 more for the delivery since they'd already overcharged me $100 more than what I was told, was authorized and had agreed to. In speaking with the driver at delivery I asked him if he receives the "extra" $100 they charged up front without authorization and was told no that he only gets the amount paid in person at delivery and nothing from Get It Done, or any other broker, as they are just the broker and just set up the transport but don't pay them directly. It seems to be the classic "bait and switch" practice that is cautioned about when choosing a company to do the transport. The next day when I spoke with ***** about the extra $100 charge he hesitated a bit and then told me that he "found" a driver willing to take the transport job but was asking for another $100. Shortly thereafter I noticed that the charge being made to my cc was for $290 not the $190 I was told and we agreed to. After speaking with ************ felt comfortable with proceeding with Get It Done, as they seemed honest when speaking onthe phone, and was told I needed to put down a deposit of $190 and would pay the balance of the cost at delivery to the driver. I kept reading reviews and cautions about the car transport industry as a whole and it seemed almost impossible to try to find a company to do the transport without the bait and switch practices that seem to run prevalent in the industry.
